A research team at the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics CTU (CIIRC CTU) have designed a half-mask that can be 3D printed on certain printers. The half-mask is “prepared to be used in the highest exposure clinical settings and a verified procedure exists to sterilise and disinfect it for repeated use.”

The research team have also made the licence for the half-mask design free and open source for non commercial use..

This has been lauded by Martina Tauberová, Deputy Minister for EU and international trade at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
