Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming more and more integral to our lives. Yet concerns have been raised about biases in AI that might promote harmful content or discriminate against people. Washington State has passed a new law requiring independent testing of new APIs for facial recognition technologies. Should this approach be extended to other technologies across the world?
